Sales Manager

WealthyPlanet gives everyday Canadians confidence about their financial future through a powerful and free online financial planning platform, money coaches and low-fee products. We are a Burlington, Ontario-based FinTech (operating virtually presently), making it easy to set and manage a comprehensive smart financial plan, benefiting from built-in algorithms, consumption smoothing, and visualization tools to optimize and reach life and family goals faster.

At WealthyPlanet we are revolutionizing the way people think about their finances. Digital marketing and financial services have failed us. People want to trust and like someone when it comes to their money. As Sales Manager, you are responsible for managing the success of our Money Coaches, closing deals with clients, and identifying new sales leads. We use the term ‘money coach’ because our state-of-the-art, first of its kind technology makes the recommendations that are mathematically irrefutable. If you’re disenchanted with commission and want to earn a base salary plus an uncapped bonus, while working to revolutionize and disrupt the wealth management industry, then this role could be for you.

Outcomes 

Leadership

  • You are the first point of contact for our Money Coaches. Reporting directly to the CEO, you provide sound leadership for a team of Money Coaches with WealthyPlanet 

  • Provide Mentoring and Coaching to the Territory Managers

  • Work closely with the WealthyPlanet Sales/HR team to create targets, KPIs, and measurable data to evaluate performance

Sales

  • At the end of the day, you’re selling a product and a service. We need you to be able to close those deals with clients and bring them onto our platform

  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from advertising inquiries, direct mail responses, trade shows, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources

  • Make outbound calls to potential and existing customers by telephone or e-mail to sell products and services which result to be productive and profitable

Provide sound, empathetic financial advice to our clients. Make our client’s financial world a priority.

  • When clients sign up at WealthyPlanet, they are assigned a money coach. You will help our clients understand the impact and importance of their financial decisions 

  • You’re a hybrid financial advisor. We went ahead and built an engine that can’t be wrong. Within that engine, we’ve integrated products like ETFs, insurance and mortgages

  • Use our system to illustrate to our clients their current financial situation, and what their financial situation could look like when they work with us

Communicate with clients 

  • Use an empathetic approach to communicate with clients

  • Establish long lasting relationships with your clients and arm them with habits that create wealth


Competencies 

  • 5 - 7 years working as a financial advisor for a wealth management firm or in the financial services world 

  • Must have a LLQP or willingness to obtain 

  • You’ve got sound knowledge of tax and financial products and services 

  • You have a Canadian Investment Funds Course or Canadian Securities Course 

  • You have demonstrated leadership aptitude from previous managerial roles, sports leadership experience, or something similar 

  • You’re based out of Ontario 

  • You’ve got a ‘hunter’ mentality and thrive off of closing deals and building relationships with clients 

  • You’re motivated by doing what’s right. You love doing great things for other people and helping them understand their wealth  

  • You exhibit genuine passion for your work. You’re motivated by a mission and a desire to help people lead a better life 

  • You have strong oral and written communication skills. You’re empathetic and able to ‘read a room’

  • You show respect for those around you 

  • You’re tech literate

 

This role with WealthyPlanet is full-time. You’re joining a brand new team, and will be one of the first Sales Managers we bring onto our team.
